We wrapped up another successful picnic on Sunday June 5th, 2016.
Special thanks to our sponsors: Pitman Farms/Mary's Chickens and Whole Foods Markets for supplying the bulk of the chickens for the event. They were delicious and juicy prepared with our secret brine and grilled to perfection. And Just for fun, here are scenes from our 1951 Picnic! It was originally shot on 8MM film. Times have sure changed!
The Bennett Valley Guild has been a essential part of Bennett Valley for over 144 years. Most people know that the our Hall is an historical building built in 1873. What people may not know is that this Guild is an active organization that continues to hold monthly meetings. Even though the Guild is an organization that operates under the auspices of the California Guild, the members and officers can decide what programs and activities they would like to do.
We always welcome new members and new ideas. If you would like to become a member of the Bennett Valley Guild, we would welcome both you and your input. Currently, dues are just $35.00 a year, pro-rated per quarter if you join after the beginning of the year.
To join the Bennett Valley Guild, complete the membership form under the "Join" tab above, then a member of the Membership Committee will contact you to take you through the process. You may pay your dues at your initiation meeting or here on our website.
The last couple of years the Bennett Valley Guild has partnered with the Bennett Valley Community Association (BVCA), offering the hall for meetings and informative speakers. We have also co-sponsored the Guild's annual June barbecue with the BVCA, raising funds for the Bennett Valley Hall’s upkeep and maintenance, especially important for an older building. At the same time, we are also raising funds for the Bennett Valley Emergency Preparedness (BVEP) funds and the BVEP emergency shelter now located at the Guild.

On December 8, 2016 we voted to change our name. We are now the "Bennett Valley Guild". We are the same organization, with the same mission, but with a new name, continuing 144 years of tradition.
